La Casa Encendida

Made with Ángela Iranzo, Pau Marín and Andrés Mata ❤

This project is about the redesign made of La Casa Encendida. A civic and cultural centre located in the center of Madrid.

La Casa Encendida has existed for several decades already, but their image had not been renovated for a huge amount of time, hence the need for a redesign.

The name of ‘La Casa Encendida’ comes from a poem from Luis Rosales, a poet from the XX century. It states as follows: «Y al mirar hacia arriba – vi iluminadas, obradoras y radiantes, estelares – las ventanas – sí, todas las ventanas. – Gracias, Señor, la casa está encendida» which in English is translated as: «And when I looked upwards – I saw illuminated, homelike, radiant, stellar – the windows – yes, all the windows. – Thank you, Lord, the house is lit».

This new brand takes all the positive things of La Casa Encendida (just as this poem) and enhances them, creating a flexible brand. Just as the window it talked about, which shapes the brand, capable of adapting to a lot of applications, both digitally (on their website, social networks or videos) and physically (posters, flyers, products, etc.). This approach is super helpful in order to adapt the brand to all the people, just as La Casa Encendida is able to adapt as a culture centre to all the individuals attending to it.
